NEG Funding – IMPORTANT For all Parents and Carers
WHAT IS IT?
The Government provides 15 hours of free education to all three and four year old children; which comes into effect the term after their 3rd birthday. What this means for you is that your child can attend for up to five sessions per week at no cost to you – this may be up to five mornings/ afternoons or a couple of full days. HOWEVER, there is a short period for which you DO need to pay (see last section below)
NEW PARENTS – WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO:
To all Parents/carers with children that have turned three or will turn three this term; your child will be eligible for the Government funding next term, i.e. from January onwards. The way this works, is that during January I have to return forms and details of those children, to Ealing Council. Subsequently, they will add your child to their database. You will be asked to bring in proof of your child’s date of birth in January and will be given a form to sign. For those parents who have been told that their child is eligible THIS term, you will have already received your forms.
PARENTS WHO ALREADY RECEIVE FUNDING:
Please be reminded that the government funding covers only 38 weeks of the year and we are open for 42weeks. There is a period of three extra weeks and you will need to pay the full fees for those weeks. If you choose not to bring your child in for those extra weeks, you will still need to pay the fees, as your contracts specify that whilst we are open, you are required to pay fees. You will be notified in due course for the fees due and the dates by which they must be paid.
