Our partnership with Families
Ultimately we are here for the benefit of the children who attend our setting; however, here at Just for Me we are aware of the importance that each child's family has, in terms of their learning. As such, we aim to provide parents/carers with as much support as possible, to enable them to contribute as effectively as they can, to their child's experiences.
Working in partnership is crucial to the service we provide here and we believe that your knowledge and expertise as a parent/carer are invaluable to us being able to best help your child reach his or her full potential at Just for Me. Our training sessions also form part of our holistic approach to educating families as a whole and we encourage the sharing of expertise with other parents/carers, in terms of your own skills.
We begin each child's journey at Just for Me, with a brief home visit, which enables you to become familiar with a member of staff, as opposed to simply completing a form and arriving on your child's first day. This means both you and your child will feel more at ease on that exciting first day and you will have a point of reference if you have any enquiries prior to your child starting.
We will hold regular parents evenings where you will have the opportunity to come and discuss your child's progress.
As we are a childcare setting committed to promoting equal opportunities, we also value the diverse nature of the families we provide a service to. As such, we welcome help from parents in terms of donating items which would help educate the children about your culture, as well as supporting us when we hold our multicultural celebration days.
All in all, we maintain that in order for you to be happy with our service, your child needs to be happy; however, such happiness works both ways and therefore we aim to encourage you as parents /carers to feel happy, so that your child is able to benefit all round.
